No nothing abnormal at all.  Actually I have two 500Gb SATA drives in 
this machine.  The primary one has a 25Gb root partition with the 
rest as "Home" and the other HDD as backup.

Based on your comment I will copy the latest backup onto a DVD and DD 
the primary drive to the secondary one, then make it the boot drive.
I'll report back.
