Thanks for the heads-up, didn't know that. CAPS LOCK IS PERFECTLY OKAY, TOO, 
IF ONE WISHES TO MAKE AN IMPORTANT POINT THAT CAN'T BE MADE OTHERWISE. (Of 
course, the previous sentence is a bad example of making such a point.) 

To tell you the truth, though, I haven't dealt with the "Persistent Changes" 
feature at all. You are supposed to be able to choose that from the boot 
menu; that's as much as I can tell you offhand. The issue doesn't arise for 
me, because it's not there. 

Is this for when you are using a live CD or DVD? Am I right?
