I'm here to help if I can, I've done the Debian merge to Devuan and I 
done the Devuan base install and then installed Trinity, but I have not 
installed a live Devuan with Trinity.  I'm guessing Devuan has another 
desktop installed? If that's the case do you have the Trinity keyring 
installed and can you run 'aptitude dist-upgrade?  You will probably 
need to install aptitude first.  Any errors?
