Just for (probably useless) info,
a few years ago I was able to get korean typing support in Debian + TDE. I remember it took a lot of effort and tries,
it didn't work out of the block. Eventually I got it working.
I think I used ibus as well, but can't be 100% sure.
I have since give up on that, now running TDE inside a VM so I don't need to type in korean any more.
