this doesn't sound good - I would take the machine offline and reinstall
from scratch ... unless you are schizophrenic and your other identity is

site. Programs might be replaced with compromised etc.

this is my opinion.

you wanted anyway to upgrade some time soon - what you can save are the
configurations you have there - but I would not keep this machine online or
at least not in my internal network.
