Devuan Jessie was a good idea, but everything above Devuan Jessie is not 
for a stable system and you don't need network manager it's counter 
productive, all you need is wicd.

If all you're doing is testing, well have fun, it's all a learning 
thing.  I'm just trying to help you the best I can.
