Its doing it again since sometime yesterday. A forever session burning up
a core, bouncing from core to core. I killed all the indice files a
couple 3 days back, and it took several hours to rebuild, then went back
to sleep for a day or so.

Lets explore the use of dbus to manage the contents of the two spam dirs.
My sa-learn driver script is using system stuff to manage those dirs
which kmail might not agree with, so if kmails own move or delete
commands were used instead, might help it to maintain valid indices? As
an experiment, I just killed the indices for those 2 dirs, and will see
if that stops it in due time.

Where do I find the docs on how to do that? The help files for kmail
aren't exactly voluminous on that subject.
