this is indeed weered - I also do not have it. It is listed in the package,
but not created.

$ dpkg -L tdm-trinity | grep init.d/tdm
/etc/init.d/tdm
$ ls -al /etc/init.d/tdm
ls: cannot access '/etc/init.d/tdm': No such file or directory

when I extract the package the file is there
