I tried to persuade Mandriva to continue with KDE 3.5 some time ago, the 
answer was a flat NO and they show no sign of changing their minds.

I'm sure most people here would love this to happen, but we don't have the 
power to do it. The distros will only include a package if enough people 
ask for it or are already using it, so your best bet is to spread the 
word! Community pressure is the only way to achieve the result you want.

In the mean time we will keep building packages.
