Didn't work for me with Upstart 16.04 -> 18.04. /etc/init.d/tdm-trinity is
symlinked to a non-existent /lib/init/upstart-job, duly noted in the journal
without saying anything helpful. There is a backtrace in Xorg, but I can't ID the
cause:
