If it were not for the TDE desktop, I probably would have abandoned the 
digital world altogether by now. (I don't know if that is really viable any 
more, but it's nice to imagine that it is still possible to escape our 
machine overlords.) With the TDE desktop, I am better equipped to manage life 
and work, and can usually keep chaos at bay. 

Thanks for the history lesson, as before I had only some  sketchy factoids. 
It's good to know where we came from.
