Hi Leslie,
I don't know that there would be such an option in the Removable Media
settings. However, there is a option in Konqueror Settings / User
Interface / Open as tab in existing Konqueror when URL is called
externally. You can try whether this option will have the desired effect
and a tab will open instead of a separate window to open removable media.
