Thanks again, all of you. 2011/11/16 Philippe Bourdeu d'Aguerre <bda@...>: > Le mercredi 16 novembre 2011, Lisi Reisz a écrit : >> I have now successfully copied an intact copy of the Mail folder >> ~/Mail) from a backup to my present setup. To no avail. I also tried to open KMail at the command line. I failed, so I thought, and went on with other things. Then KMail suddenly opened up, with all my folders and email, but no settings. I started to put the various settings in, and to recreate my filters. And then to sort out the mail, a large amount of which had landed unsorted in the inbox. I put my computer on this morning and opened KMail. The settings I put in yesterday evening are all there, as are the filters I set up yesterday. I have looked at the ~/Mail directory. The emails that I downloaded last night are there, as are the rest. Why has KMail gone back to not using the ~/Mail? And, more importantly, how do I get KMail to use it?! Thanks, Lisi
