Without computers, I could never have collected and organized so much material, and probably would never have been able to make connections between seemingly unrelated subjects. So that's a good thing, I have to concede. On the other hand, if I had just kept all my materials in hard copy, then I would still have it somewhere; although I suppose it could have been destroyed in a fire or something. Also, I would need a warehouse in which to keep it all. It was just a strange bit of bad luck, that my hard drive and my flash drive both failed at the same time, and before I could make backups of this material (which I had saved for last, as I was redistributing this data, to keep like with like).
