Sorry, Nik. :-(  Mea maxima culpa. :-(  PEBKAC.  I really shouldn't try to do 
things when I am falling asleep.

I'm really so sorry to have troubled you and wasted your time.  It works 
perfectly and I am about to install the dependencies, which as you say I was 
expecting.  

I had downloaded the file 3 times (because a faulty download was an obvious 
possibility).  I then used tab-complete.  But I didn't complete the tiny bit 
that it needed at the end.  It had numbered the downloads, and the number was 
missing.
