I'd say that PCLinuxOS dev team is probably not interested in TDE at all. With this, it's pretty clear:

You can see in this post that many persons loved KDE3, but they have been left back to use PCLOS 2009, or use another distro. They don't care at all about TDE. While it is true that PCLinuxOS implement KDE4 in a pretty good way (at least with a desktop that you can put icons on it! Grrr!), KDE4 still lacks the performance of TDE and it has its own way of doing things. Some pesons may like it, some not. At least for me, I'm always more productive on TDE than on KDE4.

While it's true that Francois Andriot's packages are very good, they only accept packages that are build by their team. I don't really care about making it officially available on PClinuxOS.com

The regular PCLinuxOS 2012 KDE4 starts in the same time as PCLinuxOS non-official TDE remaster on my 2 test computers, but the one with TDE is a P4 with 768mb of ram and the one with KDE4 is a Core 2 Duo with 2gb of ram. Also, my Asus EEE (first gen) with 512mb of ram crash before getting to the desktop with KDE4 and is almost fast with TDE. For those who haven't understood yet why I do this remaster, it is at least partly for that!
