And you're using VLC with Trinity?

I've seen this problem on probably 6 or 7 different machines, every time I
try to play DVDs with VLC under Trinity. It works fine if I manually tell
VLC to play the DVD, but it will not mount automatically without user
intervention. On the same machines, it works fine under XFCE. (It also
works fine with Kaffeine, but I want to use VLC.)

So clearly XFCE is doing something different; the question is, how do I make
Trinity handle mounting the DVD automatically like XFCE does?
