Thanks, but do not know whereabouts of "System Settings"; I have both 
a KControl and a KMenu>Settings>KDE Components>File Associations 
configurator, and there I have Firefox as default, but I can find 
no "System Settings" or "Default Applications."

What am I doing wrong here?
