I am using Iceweasel, Debians Firefox.

Useing the browser I click on pdf file, get ;save as or open with'
dialog box. I can open multiple pdf files as single instances with
another pdf viewer, just not kpdf.

When I am in kpdf viewing a pdf, go to file open, or open recent, choose
another pdf, it replaces the current pdf. This vaguley reminds me of
single document vs multidoc interface some word processors use.

The only 'opens all the windows you want' scenario that works here is
from the cli, in a dir of multiple pdf's, 'kpdf package.pdf &' .
