If you are using Firefox, you may want to install an addon, called < 
DownThemAll >.
This will/may.might/can speed up the download with a factor 4 ( in my 
case ).
Also, it allows to < resume > halted/stopped/broken downloads.
However, I am not sure if that resume goes for FileFactory too, but 
certainly works on "standard" http and ftp sites
