Please do work on it; this project is supposed to be about getting to the
best solution even if some toes are stepped on in the process.  I draw the
line at personal insults/attacks/etc, but other than that it's best to
keep the arguments here instead of obliviously releasing a bad product and
having the criticisms all show up on various news sites and comment
boards. :-)
