So I take it DrKonqi (the TDE crash handler) does not pop up?  If it does
please use the "Report Crash" button.

The "ICE default IO error handler" rings a bell; in any case this is
probably not user repairable.  If you can get a backtrace I can take a
look at it; kdict works fine here so I would need that info to proceed.
