Have you also done this:

If necessary, do that for all networked printers.  Not feasible if there are 
100 or more!  I only have a small network.

It solved the same problem for me, but of course YMMV.  I don't know whether 
it would have solved things for the chap with the problem on the Debian list, 
because he didn't try it, and also didn't solve his problem.

 Go into help in any TDE application (I am currently in KMail) and click 
on "About Trinity".
