It seems > that /opt/trinity/share/apps/tdedisplay/app-defaults is sourced to xrdb > without replacing color definitions with actual values which should be taken > from tde color schemes. there are several oddities related to this. i posted earlier a screenshot of the lacie lightscribe labeler which had foreground and background both black unless that option is unchecked. oddly, unchecking it changed numerous attributes of both non-tde and tde applications -- and rechecking it rebroke the things that were broken, but did not repair the things it itself broke. in particular, menu and icon text got tiny. weird. dep
