Not exactly. Notification now playing, but players who use arts sound server
remains silent. I once had the same thing happen after some update on Debian
Wheezy, but before I could look to problem closer, after some subsequent
update it corrected itself. Now I have the same problem on my old test
laptop - so far I have not found the cause.
