I am pretty sure you are wrong in this assumption :-)
If you read Tim's answer on this thread and try 
http://www.whois.com/whois/ with "quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net" you 
will get a pretty different location than the one given by freegeoip.
You will even see all the postal coordinates of PearsonComputing...
