Ok, thanks. So I take you moved from 3.5.13.2 to R14.0.1, is it correct?
The no-drag behavior may be a bug or may be caused by something else.
Are you NOT able to drag-and-drop from Konqueror to any other non-TDE applications? Or just specific applications?
For example can you drag from Konqueror and drop to Firefox? This works on my system, just as a comparison.
When you used 3.5.13.2, were you using the same Firezilla version or another one? May be they blocked drag-and-drop
some some reasons I am not aware of.

I am just trying to find out were the problem lies (TDE or not TDE) based on your feedback ;-)
