Credit where credit is due, I still think that is Alexandre's remaster.

Have you tried David Hare's Exegnu Linux?  It runs TDE as one of two desktops 
and is based on Devuan (Debian minus systemd).

The earlier, Debian based ones, are also systemd-free, but they are more out 
of date.
