I don't think this is about Dell quality. It's just another big marketing company, so it has to compete by matching the low industry standard 1366x768 generally. I doubt Dell is responsible for the existence of 1366x768, which is an unfortunate lowfi resolution that didn't deserve to ever have been created. Have you tried running both at 1280x720, just to see if that standard HDTV 720p resolution is possible on your displays?
