AFAIK no, modern skype is pulse only. But a lot of pulse hate is unfounded
and comes from extremely idiotic decision by ALL distribution to configure
pulse by default in "alsa takeover" mode. It can perfectly work as a second
layer sound server, and it works very good as one.
