The default TDE settings menu has less than a dozen entries.  These would 
include entries for "Printers (TDEPrint)", "Desktop Settings Wizard 
(KPersonalizer)", and "Menu Editor (KMenuEdit)".  

It doesn't include entries for virtual machine configuration, a non-TDE terminal 
emulator, any kind of software installation, or most of the rest of the ~40 items 
in your screenshot.  Those were placed either by your distro or by another
desktop environment (for instance, I have a VM with Trinity and LXDE
installed, and "LXAppearance" shows up in the TDE Settings menu there).
