I have the odd feeloing, that you ran in the inamouse "parts of my keyboard react funny"-bug. The only way of solving this (as far as I know) is to restart with a clean configuration, e,.g.: move ~/.trinity to ~/.trinity-old and restart. Then you can cop file by file the configuration from ~/.trinity-old to ~/.trinity - that is, if it's not less wort to jimply dump ~/.trinity-old.
