On a secound thought, maybe this is connected to the problem I reported
connected to an wifi with enterprise WPA, tde-networkmanager could not
connect and gave three reason one was not having the correct permission.
So if indeed he has to write to /etc and somehow does not get root
rights that would explain the problem. I would then call that a bug.
