however when I open Konqueror I see my home directory in tree view. When I
open a new tab and press the "home" icon I see icon view.
I followed the instructions and restarted konq, but it does not help. I put
tree view on top of preferred application for directory

I was wondering for some time how it can be defaulted, so the revival of
this thread is a great opportunity to set it right.
