The numbers of title's characters under the desktop icons
is limited to 10, after, the text is on two lines :

An example : 
"Thunderbird" =>
"Thunderbi
rd"

How to increase to keep the text on one line ?

I tried to decrease the police size, but no result,
always two lines.
