I don't particularly like the Q4OS focus on being a Windows replacement (I also do not have any particular issues with Windows - use what works best in the particular use scenario) . I feel a distro should be confident enough in its own right and do things it's own way . Having said that it is clear Q4OS have been successful in attracting attention in the technical press - being truthful I did not know of TDE until I came across it in Q4OS.

Also if the Q4OS devs are submitting bug reports etc back to TDE devs then that is a good thing and to be welcomed - maybe even they might be prepared to help out with TDE development ?
