So I tried again just now since the broken package line disappeared, but 
it got back into that state again so I repeated the install click 
because the version was identical, and tde-base went in and fixed it 
this time, but dpkg went over all 85 updates the second time too.  
Wierd. Now I'll reboot because it wanted to.
