Capture mode: Region works well unless you need to do something that
requires the Snapshot delay:, e.g. a snapshot that includes a dropdown
menu.

Kolourpaint is easier/quicker than Gimp for trimming - Rectangle
select (top/right tool) > Selection crop (Ctrl T) > Save (Ctrl S).
