Not my experience here. I watch Hulu.com, Crackle, & Youtube using a Virtualbox 
guest of Debian Squeeze, TDE 3.5.12 & latest  stable Firefox, 7.0.1a right now. 
Some times the Youtube 'shows' stop playing after awhile, I stick mainly to Hulu 
for the same content. Flash is a tricky beast , thats why I  run flash in a vm, 
it always brings down the system, just a matter of how long.
