To enable side by side installation, Trinity does not use ~/.kde.  User
configuration is in ~/.trinity and the entire Trinity installation is
in /opt/trinity.

When we migrate, we typically copy .kde to .trinity,
rename /usr/bin/startkde and then create a symbolic link
named /usr/bin/startkde to /opt/trinity/bin/startkde - John
