 I too have been trying to install KMail for ages (well it seems like 
ages) using 
  apt-get install kmail-trinity --fix-missing
and of course getting the dreaded 404 errors, but joy and jubilation, 
early this morning no errors and KMail is now installed.  :-)
  So (fingers crossed) "The mirrors are back!".  Thanks Tim.
