Virtualbox has  a way to to do this. In the VB menu for your guest, with the mouse 
select 'machine>insert Ctrl-Alt-Del' It also suggests the 
keybinding 'Host+Del'will do this. I use the mouse , have not tried the 
keybinding.

 I am used to this behavior since I still have a NT4 vm that requires this.
