I hope I'm not teaching my grandmother, but are you sure you have
Squeeze installed on that computer ?  Lenny used to have that problem
with 301's but apt in Squeeze should be able to follow the redirection
(which is probably just to forward the ppa link to a real server).

What does "apt-cache policy apt" say ?
