I don't know if Fedora has apt, but if so, to check for updates:

apt-get update

Then to see and install the updates:

apt-get dist-upgrade

In several tries on several different distros, I've never successfully got a
stable, completely working TDE installation.  I've only been able to get it
to work right by using one of the live CDs.
