My opinion of Kickoff is about as low as low gets, reminding me of the dumbed down WinXP menu as replacement of the W98/W2K menu style. Other than its search function, I see nothing that can't be or isn't already done better in the traditional menu. Icons to me are virtually useless regardless of size. If an app menu list is too long, it's only either because submenuing was not appropriately applied, and/or too many never to be used apps got installed automatically. > (Likewise, the best I can tell entirely useless plymouthd! In openSUSE, dispensing with Plymouth is easy as removing the package, either 'zypper rm plymouth' from cmdline, or via YaST, if you neglect to taboo it during installation. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
