Thanks again - > John <snip> Hmm . . . just did an apt-get --reinstall intall icedove. I noticed it pulls in desktop-file-utils so I reinstalled that. I started Icedove, went to properties / applications chose other and I got a KDE dialog! I'm guessing it was not the reinstallation but the reboot after installing kgtk-config-icedove. I did make sure Icedove had been restart using the wrapper but I had not restarted my Trinity session. I any event, I'm happy, the user is happy, and it's working. Thanks again - John
