Do you mean the logon screen?  Perhaps you have left yourself without a dm??  
Try installing kdm-trinity.  But search first to see if it is already there!  
I can't give you instructions for searching and installing with Adept because 
I do my software management in the CLI.

Or do you mean after the logon screen while TDE is loading?  If so, I can't 
help.  But there are quite a few Kubuntu TDE users who can probably help.
