My main system is wheezy but I always maintain a sid install also.

The problem with TDE here has been the core TDE components depend on a 
specific version of binutils.

At the moment binutils is the same as jessie so TDE should be 
installable in sid. Otherwise you need to pin binutils (and other 
associated packages) to jessie versions.

re siduction: very experienced dev and support team (but that doesn't 
extend to TDE)
