Hi Guys,

For some reason I'm not getting any posts from the list at the moment !  
So I'm working from reading the posts on the web archive.

I hadn't thought about trying a new user.  So that is one for tomorrow.
His HDD could be suspect since a few weeks ago he moved the machine to 
another place in his room whilst it was still running.
I checked "Libre Office" and the same thing happens to the menu's there.

Oh he called me this evening to tell me that he can't print anything 
either and Mplayer has stopped working.

The thought does occur to me that the mainboard could be dieing.  Bad 
Caps springs to mind so I might have to look at the board.
