The point of all that is to show what an ad hoc group of contributors
wouldn't be able to manage even if they wanted to, an example of
complications to avoid, how bad bad can get behind the face of a simple
looking page like Google's home page.

Nobody's stopping anybody that I can see. My prior post, long as it was,
amounted to simplification of both HTML and CSS in the process of reducing
whitespace and increasing proportional retention across varying viewport
contexts.
